Safer Nanomaterials and Nanomanufacturing
Dr. Lech Muszynski is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Wood Science and Engineering at Oregon State University. A native of Poland, he received his M.S. in Wood Technology and Ph.D. in Forestry and Wood Technology from the Agricultural University of Poznañ (currently Poznan University of Life Sciences). In 1998-2004 he worked in the area of wood composites in the Advanced Engineered Wood Composites Center at the University of Maine. At Oregon State University his research area includes micromechanics and structure-properties relations in solid wood, hybrid bio-particulate composites with polymer binders, with stress on interface performance, bonding, durability, damage assessment, fracture properties, time dependent phenomena, and hygro-mechanical behavior. He teaches physics of renewable bio-materials, and composites manufacturing.
