Siva Kolluri received his undergraduate degree with honors in Pharmacy from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, India and Master of Technology (Bio-technology) degree from Jadavpur University, Calcutta, India. He worked in biotech industry for about five years with Indian Vaccines Corporation, New Delhi, India and Pasteur Merieux Connaught Serum et Vaccins (currently Aventis Pharma), Lyon, France. He received his Ph. D. from The Institute of Genetics, Forchungszentrum Karlsruhe with Dr. Martin Goettlicher.
Dr. Kolluri did postdoctoral work with Dr. Xiao-kun Zhang at the Burnham Institute for Medical Research (BIMR), San Diego, California with the support of a fellowship from Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Program. He was promoted to Staff Scientist and then to Research Assistant Professor at BIMR and was supported by a New Investigator Award from California Tobacco Related Disease Research Program. He joined Oregon State University Department of Environmental and Molecular Toxicology as a tenure-track faculty in 2006.
