Research Interests
Guenter Schneider is a physicist who specializes in computational condensed matter physics. His research focuses on properties of advanced materials and systems on the nanoscale using a variety of computational methods including first principles quantum mechanical calculations and molecular dynamics and Monte-Carlo simulations.
Current research areas are:
- Electronic and optical properties of semiconductors with applications in photovoltaics and transparent electronics,
- The interaction of biological molecules with nano-electronics, and
- Rimulation based design of nano-strcutured materials with novel properties.
