Biography
Derek Tretheway received his B.S. (1993) in chemical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and his Ph.D. (2000) in chemical engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Portland State University Fall 2004. His research interests include fluid mechanics, micro- and nano-scale science, microfluidic diagnostics, surface-fluid interactions, and cell biomechanics.
